The Foundation for Promoting Action in Community Empowerment

initiatives focused on promoting social welfare and development. With
a view to implementing uplifting marginalized communities, the
foundation implements programs that empower individuals through
education, environmental conservation and forestry, livelihood
support, and skill development, fostering sustainable growth and

With the invaluable support of the PACE Foundation and the Forest Department of
Odisha, a remarkable initiative has been undertaken—planting over 10,000 trees along
both sides of the road from Badakambili to Dabarkhol Waterfall. What makes this
effort even more commendable is the high survival rate of these trees, ensured by the
‘Tree Companions’ program, where the village youth take on the responsibility of
nurturing and maintaining them. Looking ahead, the PACE Foundation aims to further
accelerate its afforestation efforts, strengthening its commitment to environmental
sustainability. I wholeheartedly welcome and appreciate this initiative.

We extend our sincere gratitude to the PACE Foundation for organizing an insightful
Exposure Visit to the Indian Coast Guard, Paradip. This experience provided us with
the rare opportunity to board and explores the Coast Guard ship ‘ICG VIJAY’. It was a
moment of great inspiration, especially for students aspiring to join the defense forces,
as it deepened our understanding and motivation. I truly hope the PACE Foundation
continues to create such invaluable learning experiences for students in the future.

As a college student from Cuttack, my journey in Arm Wrestling was propelled forward
by the PACE Foundation. After winning at the college level, I had the incredible
opportunity to represent Odisha at the National Arm Wrestling Championship in
Nagpur, Maharashtra, where I secured third place. Following this, I was fortunate to
participate in the International Arm Wrestling Championship in New Delhi—a
milestone I could not have achieved without the unwavering support of the PACE
Foundation. I am forever grateful for their encouragement and assistance.

Our school students and teachers had the golden opportunity to showcase the play
‘Biplabi Bajia’ on a grand platform at Odisha Parba 2024 in Delhi. Performing in the
presence of Her Excellency the President, the Honorable Prime Minister, the
Honorable Union Minister of Education, and the Honorable Chief Minister of
Odisha was an unforgettable moment for all of us.
This incredible opportunity was made possible by Mr. Sambit Tripathy, the visionary
man of the PACE Foundation, who arranged for our travel, accommodations, and
overall participation. In recognition of his outstanding contribution, we honored him with
the ‘Debadut’ Award during our school’s Silver Jubilee celebration. His dedication to
empowering students and promoting culture is truly commendable.

A renowned scientist, retired from the post of Chief Scientist & Head of the Minerals Processing Department at CSIR-IMMT, Bhubaneswar with over three decades of experience in mineral processing, rural technology development, and business incubation. He has led 100+ R&D projects, developed 18 commercialized technologies, and holds six patents. He also serves in national committees for environment, mining, and material sciences. He is the proud recipient of prestigious Samanta Chandra Sekhar Award (Govt.of Odisha ) and the National Geoscience Award (Govt. Of India ). His vast expertise in science-led rural transformation and livelihood enhancement is instrumental in developing scalable, community-driven solutions for sustainable development.

A giant in finance stream brings an extensive experience in banking, impact investing, and social enterprise incubation. He holds a PhD in Banking and Finance from IIT Kharagpur and is currently a Professor at IRMA. He has worked on key projects with NABARD, NCDEX, Niti Aayog, and IFFCO. He has also led IRMA’s Social Enterprise Incubator (ISEED Foundation) and served in national committees in shaping policies for sustainable finance and cooperatives. His expertise is invaluable in the organization for empowering communities.

Mr. Sambit Tripathy

Director
An ex IRS, post VRS ventured into social entrepreneurship and founded Livelihood Alternatives Pvt ltd and PACE Foundation where PACE Foundation is a not for profit wing of LA . The primary focus of the organisation is on empowering communities in rural areas of Odisha . Besides he is on the board of IRMA-ISEED Foundation and a guest speaker of XLRI Jamshedpur. He is a M.A/ M.Phil in Sociology from JNU & LLB from Delhi University.
